Summer Fun: Learning, Playing, Getting Messy, and most of all, Having FUN!

In-Side-Out Early Learning will be offering five weeks with different scheduled learning themes and activities.  These activities will be hands on learning, taking place outdoors as much as possible incorporating artwork, nature, animals, and more.  The kids will be encouraged to use their creativity and environment to learn while playing, getting messy, and having fun!

Dirt's for Digging, Green's for Growing

                                             June 7-9

The week will be dedicated to learning all about gardening and planting flowers. The students will take an active role in planting flower and vegetable beds. What a better way to practice playing in the dirt than planting their very own flowers! By the end of the week, the kiddos will be digging to plant their very own flowers at home. During the week the class will also go on a nature walk to learn about the leaves, branches, trunks, and roots of trees.

Children will bring home flowers to plant at the end of the week. The week will be primarily hands on activities and the kids are guaranteed to come home dirty at the end of every day.

Animals are Loose

                                              June 21-23

What is Science?  Why is it important?  What does "Experiment" mean? How does Science relate to everyday life? All these questions and more will be answered during Science week.  The students will continue with the hands on learning aspect and conduct some of their own experiments with every day household items. They could learn about electricity, or reactions between different products, or perhaps even how to grow crystals.  As we all know, the sky is the limit when it comes to science and this week will help to ingrain that into the minds of the students.

Blast for last...
Water fun!

July 28-30

Beat the heat by learning about H2O. Get ready to get wet!  Water stations will be set up everywhere: water balloons, sprinkler fun and more! There will be lessons on how mist is made, and how rainbows are formed. The students are guaranteed to come home soaking wet by the end of the day.

Art Week

June 14-16

Anything goes this week. Different types of art media will be used to create outdoor masterpieces.  The students will become inspiring and great artists by using their creativity outdoors rather than indoors. The classes during the week will take place outside, as long as weather permits, learning how famous painters use different art media to make their masterpieces. This is the week that everyone will be allowed to paint on large easels, other media, including painting clothes.

Bug Off!

                                              July 14-16

Want to know more about worms, caterpillars, ants, spiders and other bugs?  This week will be dedicated to learning about the creepy crawly things that fill the environment.  Students will be given bug nets to catch bugs and then research will be done to learn about the bugs that are caught. In addition, students will learn about bugs that aren’t found in North Dakota. Although many kids are not fond of bugs, they will learn about why bugs are beneficial to the environment.

June and July camps will meet:
